The mission of Karat Place, Inc. is to rehabilitate homeless women ex-offenders with or without children to reduce recidivism in greater Memphis.This is accomplished through the provision of a better standard of living in transitional housing and the promotion of ways to educate these to acquire knowledge, skills, esteem, contractual jobs and motivation which will empower them to overcome barriers that hinder them from becoming positive, productive, contributing citizens.

This program is funded in part with grants from the City of Memphis and the Women’s Foundation for a Greater Memphis.
